DEVELOPMENT STAGES OF THE GREEN ECONOMY IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBAL SUSTAINABILITY GOALS

This article examines the development stages of the green economy in the context of achieving global
sustainability goals. The study analyzes the theoretical foundations of the green economy concept, its evolution, and its role
in addressing contemporary environmental, economic, and social challenges. Particular attention is paid to the relationship
between green economy principles and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations. The
research identifies the main stages of green economy development, including the emergence of environmental awareness,
the transition to sustainable development, the implementation of green growth strategies, and the formation of a lowcarbon
and resource-efficient economy. The article also discusses international experiences and policy approaches aimed
at promoting sustainable economic transformation. The findings highlight that the green economy serves as an effective
mechanism for balancing economic growth, environmental protection, and social well-being, thereby contributing to the
achievement of global sustainability objectives
