Abstract

The article is devoted to the theoretical study of temperature and heat phenomena during the mechanical
cutting of white cast irons, the primary plastic deformation occurring in the shear plane, the amount of heat released
in the conditional shear plane were analyzed. It is known that white cast irons have high hardness, strength and creep
resistance, which greatly complicates the process of their mechanical processing. We theoretically studied the change
in the temperature generated by friction on the front surface of the cutting tool during the mechanical processing of white
cast irons depending on the type of white cast iron and the cutting speed
