WAYS TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF ASSETS AND STABILITY OF THE CREDIT PORTFOLIO IN COMMERCIAL BANKS
Abstract
Approaches to improving asset quality and ensuring the stability of credit portfolios in commercial banks are
examined. Particular attention is paid to enhancing credit risk management practices and limiting the growth of non-performing
loans. Using systematic and comparative analytical methods, the key factors affecting the quality of bank assets
are identified. The analysis focuses on loan portfolio diversification, comprehensive assessment of borrowers’ creditworthiness,
continuous credit monitoring, and the application of digital tools for risk assessment and management. The
findings contribute to strengthening the financial stability of commercial banks and improving the efficiency of their lending
operations.
